1. Octaned does not sell your personal information.
We don't sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. We also don't share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. There are no advertising cookies on Octaned, and there is no data-broker relationship to opt out of.
2. Your rights under the CCPA / CPRA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you and how we use it.
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention exceptions described in our Privacy Policy.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing — not applicable to us, since we do neither.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information — we don't use sensitive PI for any purpose other than the functioning of the marketplace.
- Non-discrimination — you won't receive worse service for exercising any of these rights.
3. How to exercise these rights
Email privacy@octaned.us from the email address on your account, telling us which right you want to exercise. We'll respond within 45 days, and may request information sufficient to verify your identity (typically a confirmation reply from the account's registered email is enough).
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent must provide written authorization and we may require you to verify directly with us.
4. Categories of personal information we collect
See section 1 of our Privacy Policy for a full list. The summary: identifiers (name, email), commercial information (listings, payment status), internet activity (login logs, document access logs), and free-text content you provide (messages, listing details).
5. No financial incentives
We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for the collection, sale, or retention of personal information.
